On July 18, 2018, Geo Owl attended the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Career Fair which was held at the Newport News Marriott at City Center. The chamber has hosted this event for over 30 years with an average of over 75 companies from all over the country participating!
The first two hours of the event were dedicated to bringing together employers and potential Military employees who are active-duty, retired, reservist, DOD civilians, those recently separated from the military and their dependents. The Career Fair helped bring together employers and potential employees to utilize their unique skills and integrate them into a civilian career path. Seminars were also available to assist attendees in how to utilize the career fair and how to develop job search strategies. Geo Owl’s recruiters were able to meet with a variety of skilled job seekers and had a great time discussing career opportunities with everyone!
