In this article we will cover everything you need to know about the Jobs available and program information for the JGASS program. JGASS stands for Joint Geospatial Analysis Support Services. The contract was awarded in 2021 and has a value of $373 Million and will last up to 8 years! The purpose of JGASS is for contractors to supply the full spectrum of geospatial intelligence to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is a unified combatant command of the United States Armed Forces responsible for overseeing the various special operations components of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. USSOCOM is headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
Most of the contract positions are located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Northern Virginia, and elsewhere. All contractors are required to be willing to deploy if necessary. All job positions on JGASS require a TS/SCI security clearance.

Job Description & Duties: As a Full Motion Video / Imagery Analyst, you will be a part of a focused group providing 24/7 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) support and must be willing to support customer GEOINT requirements in OCONUS or CONUS locations. Team Members will utilize GEOINT production tools and methodology to summarize activity, analyze data, and provide accurate GEOINT products to customers. You will be an active participant in top echelon intelligence operations and join a fantastic team of capable professionals, passionate about supporting vital US Intelligence operations.

Geospatial Intelligence Analyst
Job Description / Duties:
- You will perform full spectrum geospatial analysis in support of complex geospatial, topographic, and imagery problem sets in support of global real-world operations. They will be required to communicate analytical assessments clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present analysis products from creative analytical techniques in an operational environment. They will use their technical expertise and experience of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) of ground feature data and remotely sensed data such as Multi-Spectral Imagery (MSI), Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), and Electro-Optical Imagery to support the operational customer on JGASS. They will be required to work in a dynamic fast paced environments that requires both team interaction and individual efforts. They must be experienced in interfacing with both internal and external leadership.
Full Spectrum GEOINT (FSG)
Job Description/Duties:
The Full Spectrum GEOINT analyst requires a wide breadth of knowledge to perform in various multidisciplinary roles. Extensive experience is required in the intelligence community working with ISR platforms and ISR methods such as GEOINT, SIGINT, MASINT, AGI, OSINT, HUMINT, IMINT, Hyperspectral, and others. They will perform complex and timely imagery analysis and imagery derived MASINT analysis in support to ensure the highest quality of timely support to the team. They will be required to communicate analytical assessments clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present analysis products and ideas in an operational environment. They will use their technical expertise and experience of Processing Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) of remotely sensed data such as Hyper/Multi-Spectral Imagery (HSI/MSI), Thermal/Infrared Imagery, Electro-Optical Imagery, Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR), and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) to support the operational customer. They will work in dynamic fast paced environments that requires both team interaction and individual efforts. They must be experienced in interfacing with both internal and external leadership.
Specifically, the Advance Full Spectrum GEOINT analyst will be responsible to fuse mutli-discipline intelligence sources to provide accurate and timely geospatial analysis in direct support of multiple geographically dispersed DoD organizations. They are the interface to the operational elements to ensure the operational commander’s goals are accomplished through the synchronization of the geospatial enterprise. They will use their knowledge and intelligence acumen to provide critical recommendations to operational decision makers. They will work the full spectrum of the problem set utilizing advanced geospatial capabilities and techniques to complete the mission. They will be challenged daily to expand their knowledge and understanding of operational application of geospatial practices with multiple disciplines.
FSG Positions are available in North Carolina and Virginia.

Working as a TEAM on JGASS
JGASS is a TEAM and a partnership between the government and contractors that support our awesome warfighters around the globe. No one works in a silo, we rely on each other and take care of one another. If you work as a Full Motion Video Analyst, you will be assigned to a color team and work rotating shifts. Each team has leadership and support from the government and from the company.
If you are working as a Geospatial Analyst, you will also be assigned to a team, however the work schedule is variable.
Deploying on the JGASS Contract
Every team member on JGASS MUST be willing to deploy to locations around the world. As a USSOCOM support contract, we go where they go! Deployments are typically 120 days or less and and JGASS team members work together to ensure everyone is safe, comfortable, and secure, wherever they are in the world. As a global team, we support our people, top to bottom, 24/7, anywhere on earth.
But what if you DON’T WANT TO DEPLOY? Unfortunately on JGASS you are required to be willing to deploy, although there are circumstances from time to time where people go long stretches without deploying or are not included in certain deployments due to personal issues or operational tempo.
