At the time I was looking for a new opportunity where I could grow in my career but I also wanted to work for a company that I believed in. As a military spouse, I’ve always respected the military and I loved that I could do my small part in contributing to the DoD.

What do you do at Geo Owl?
I previously worked as the Marketing Manager handling all facets of Marketing for the company. It was really fun getting to help shape our brand image over the course of the last couple years. More recently, I transitioned into the Business Development team where I’ve been helping with company proposals, our business pipeline and working with our CGO to help align Geo Owl for future endeavors.

What was your favorite part of Marketing?
I really loved getting to shape our brand and showcase Geo Owl to the world and who we are and bringing awareness to the company.

What is your favorite part of Business Development?
The excitement of going after new opportunities because if you win a new contract, it opens up a ton of doors for growth and everyone in the company.

What are your hobbies outside of Geo Owl?
I love to workout and doing a variety of different things ranging from CrossFit to running. Most recently I completed my first Spartan Super Race and was able to get top 10 in my age group! I love a good challenge. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1100″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text]What is your favorite book and why?
It’s a series. “The Throne of Glass”. I love it because the badass female lead has a great character arch. I love strong female characters and adventure and these books definitely pack a punch. If you love Game of Thrones, you will love this series.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I have big hopes and dreams but it can be a little difficult being a military spouse, I don’t know where I will actually be in five years. However, I hope to continue supporting the military in my future roles, whatever they may be.

What advice would you give to other females following in your footsteps? The biggest thing is learning how to take calculated risks. You don’t want to be brash, but if you never take risks you’re never going to get anywhere. I came into this role with not as much knowledge about the Intel Industry and how it supported our military, and I did everything in my power to become a subject matter expert. I took it upon myself to learn everything I could to best succeed in my role and support my team. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
